Attorneys at Law
John E. Norton has practiced law in the field of tort defense litigation for over 35 years in Chicago, the collar counties and Northern Illinois. John and his associate attorneys pride themselves on their status as trial attorneys who litigate a variety of matters ranging from professional negligence and casualty litigation to municipal liability, civil rights and corporate matters.
Our attorneys litigate cases in the State and Federal court systems throughout Northeastern Illinois and have participated in appellate litigation at all levels, including the Supreme Court of Illinois and the Supreme Court of the United States of America.
The firm’s culture and philosophy are embodied by a commitment to a personal and accessible relationship with our clients. We strive to provide a collaborative and interactive relationship with them by way of a prompt and incisive case analysis, and the formulation of an effective and economic litigation plan at the outset of matters in which we are retained.
In those cases where a vigorous defense is necessary, we provide it along with an ongoing and informative dialogue with our clients as to the progress of the matter and a constant evaluation of the status and effect of each significant aspect of the litigation plan as it is undertaken.
As we consider ourselves trial lawyers, committed to maintaining and perfecting our ability to try cases to verdict successfully on behalf of our clients, it is important to take note of those areas in which we have tried cases to verdict over the years. A representative listing follows:

As is apparent from the foregoing, our practice over the years has been varied and wide-ranging. A common thread in these endeavors has been a commitment to obtaining the best results for our clients in the most economic and direct manner.
